What are Efties?

An Efty is a small round token that contains a built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) chip. This chip can store a web link, which gets triggered when a smartphone is tapped against it.

Most modern phones (Android and iPhone) support NFC tap detection without needing an app. When a phone is placed near an Efty, the device reads the chip and automatically opens the stored link in the browser or corresponding app.

You can configure an Efty with any valid URL: a social media profile, playlist, image album, document, or any online destination. To use it, simply hold the top or back of your phone near the Efty for a moment—no buttons, no scanning, just a tap.
